The Cambodia Killing Fields

We are currently near the border of Cambodia in Southeast Thailand. We have heard stories about the Cambodia Killing fields and the Khmer Rouge. It is difficult to hear and amazing to see what locals have done to survive. A whole generation, which happens to be our generation was wiped out. In this area there aren't any native people of our age, they were all killed in 1975 by the communists. If you are interested, please see the following web sight. It is a difficult education to see it and learn of it. http://www.dithpran.org/killingfields.htm

Like you both I had no idea of the Khmer Rouge trajedy that took place and wiped out an entire generation until I started dating someone from Cambodia. His entire family escaped certain death and ended up in the US 25 years ago. I could go on and on about this topic......
I'm ready to drive to the airport right now with a one way ticket. Don't need any luggage, I'll worry about that when I get there.
